Absolutely wonderful item and so iconic of the 70s.

Short double handles in a brown synthetic material, which is carried through down the sides and the base. Also in the flap that folds over the top of the bag which has a belt like clasp fastening. 

The rest is traditional welsh tapestry material in brown. when you open the bag up has two separate compartments and a white zipped compartment running up the middle. The lining is blue plastic either side and the base is a pink cardboard ( i expect that it did have a removable plastic covered  base at one time but this is long gone).

The bottom of the outside of the bag has studs as protection.
